We began our weekend on Saturday playing ceremony music and reception music in Blowing Rock, NC. We played violin & piano duets for Lindsay & Whalen's wedding and stayed to play for the reception too!

April & David played violin & piano duets at St. Mary's Chapel, in Charlotte, NC. This adorable chapel in uptown is quaint and simple and beautiful. The acoustics are amazing too, and we love playing there!

This was our first time having three weddings in one day! Deans' Duets is establishing such a great group of musicians that we had three separate ensembles working this weekend

Casi & Marc's wedding was sweet, intimate, and elegant. Weddings at the Grand Bohemian always make me feel like I'm playing in the 1800's.

Our last wedding of the year was an incredible New Years Eve party!

Susan and Bill contacted me a few days before their wedding. They were relaxed and just excited to be marrying each other!

Ron & Deidre hired us to play trios for their wedding weekend at the Mast Farm Inn, and the weekend was epic!

Deans' Duets provided a trio (violin/cello/piano) for the ceremony and reception.

We love June weddings. It feels like the official start of wedding season, and we love when this time of year is finally here. It means lots of extra rehearsals, compiling music, and so much planning... but it's all fun for us.

Our first gig of the month was a solo violin wedding at Rock Barn. The shade of blue was beautiful! It was such a windy day, so we had to put weights on our stand so it wouldn't blow over!

April played classical violin solos during the 30-minute prelude and for the ceremony. It was simple, sweet, and beautiful!

We played strolling violin music for the American Nuclear Society conference in Charlotte at the Westin in February.

We played violin & piano duets for such a sweet Monday night wedding at Westglow. Bride & groom contacted us the week before looking for ceremony music and background music during dinner.

Stephen & Stephanie were married at the Isenhour Estate in Concord, NC in November. 2014 is the first year that this private residence has been open as a venue. I have a feeling it will become very popular.

Our first wedding was David & Michelle's at Hound Ears Club in Boone, NC. Michelle heard us play at her best friend's wedding and then contacted us for her own ceremony! We played violin duets for the ceremony and also played along with a talented singer and guitarist performing "Love Never Fails" during the ceremony.

We played for Annie & Phillip's beautiful wedding at Camp Yonahnoka last weekend. The Eseeola Lodge's team did an amazing job with the flowers. It was so windy that we thought they would be strewn all over the site, but not one flower blew away!

August was full of fun events!! We played in....

Lake Lure, Banner Elk, Asheville, Mooresville, Indian Trail, Charlotte, Jefferson, Blowing Rock, & Belmont!

We played ceremony music on violin & keyboard at this sweet wedding at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC, on an overcast but beautiful Saturday afternoon. This was our first time at this venue. It's a great spot, because it has the water and sand, so it has the feel of the beach without the drive for all the guests :)

July 2014 was such a busy and fun month! After taking the month of June off to welcome our little baby "June," we started things up again with our first wedding on July 5.
