Violin and Piano Duet - Charlotte, NC Wedding at Belk Chapel

Deans' Duets provided violin music for Jackie and Kristin's wedding rehearsal on June 29th and for their wedding on June 30th. Their wedding was at the Belk Chapel at Queen's University near uptown Charlotte.

On the way to the rehearsal on Friday, I had to run to North Lake mall and forgot how hot it was, so my violin was driven around the mall in the stroller. :)

I had the pleasure of playing with pianist Tim Walters, who was a friend of the bride and groom. Sometimes we get worried when we are collaborating with a pianist who is not part of our group, but Tim was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We played Canon in D for the bride to walk down the aisle and This Will Be and Everlasting Love for the recessional.

At the end of the ceremony, the officiant said, "You may salute your wife" instead of "You may kiss the bride." Everyone roared with laughter. So cute. We had never heard that one before.

As always, Samie with Something Perfect was an amazing coordinator and cued us perfectly, along with the other million things she had to do.

Thanks to Kristin and Jackie for inviting us to play ceremony music for your wedding day.
