Highlighting Top Musician Reviews

Positive Reviews

Receiving compliments from our brides and grooms, clients, and guests after a wedding or event completely makes our day. We work closely with our clients to ensure that their music selection is personalized, fits within their timeline, and intensifies emotions. With all of the time and preparation that goes into each and every event that our musicians play, it is so nice to receive those uplifting words that remind us of why we do this and why we love our jobs. We've highlighted some of our top moments that have stood out to us over the course of numerous events and that continue to motivate us.

Old Cigar Warehouse Wedding

New Year's Eve of 2021, we played our last wedding of the year at The Old Cigar Warehouse in Greenville SC. After having played at the sweet couple's wedding, we received this email response:

"First of all, let me say I have received nothing but compliments about your team’s performance during my wedding. Hands down one of THE BEST investments I made! Second, could you provide a copy of the sheet music we paid to have created by your guru for the one song, 'Everything We Need.' I’d love to print and have that one framed in the house as a keepsake. It’ll be a great conversation-starter too that will give us an excellent excuse to keep recommending you all over and over!"

Wow! How thoughtful of the couple that not only did they take the time to let us know that our performance did not go unnoticed, but also that they loved it so much that they wanted to print out their custom-arranged sheet music as a conversation starter with family and friends.

Highlands, NC Rehearsal Dinner

On a separate occasion in Highlands, North Carolina, we received a comment from a guest at a rehearsal dinner:

"Your music is so magical that it makes me feel like I’m in a movie."

Our sextet played that night and transformed the space into a performance so unforgettable that it almost felt unreal. We played for 4.5 hours, and we were still on cloud nine at the end of the evening. It was truly magical.

Raleigh Bridal Show

We received this comment from a vendor at a bridal show in Raleigh:

"I had no idea a violin could play Justin Timberlake."

Often, it is thought that, as classical musicians, we are not able to play a wide variety of music selections and genres due to instrumental capabilities. However, this is not the case! Our musicians can play all types of genres, songs, and compositions. From old and new songs to modern and classic covers, our variety of music selections is nearly endless. Some clients will even requests songs that are not on our song lists and we are more than happy to learn them for the day of their event.

It's always fun to see the surprised faces as people realize we're playing one of their favorite top 40 songs.

Linville DJ compliment

One vendor compliment that really stood out to us was from a DJ in Linville NC. We were both vendors for a wedding in the North Carolina mountains. We had so much fun playing that day! At the wedding the DJ had been speaking with one of our musicians and later told us in an email:

"I spoke with one of you guys at the event. I've been at this for eight years now and you guys are my favorite string group. You bring a feeling of truly enjoying your work rather than just playing for the paycheck."

The DJ said it perfectly. We truly enjoy what we do and play for others to enjoy.

Duke Mansion Musician Training Event

A musician in training once told us while practicing at Duke Mansion in Charlotte:

"You really feel the music. It’s like your violin is singing the words instead of just playing the notes."

We want to ensure that our clients aren't just passively listening to the music our musicians are playing, but rather connecting with the song's meaning.

Charlotte Country Club Guest

Our musicians created a moment at the Charlotte Country Club so powerful that one guest was moved to tears. The guest stated:

"I am rarely moved to tears, but today I was."

We know that we've made an impact when a guest tells us how meaningful our performance was to them. We want everyone who hears our performances to be able to connect and relate with the songs we are playing and that is exactly what had happened at this Charlotte Country Club wedding.

Winston Salem Wedding Planner

A wedding planner that our musician team worked with in Winston Salem told us that after an eventful wedding day:

"Your team was so flexible. So many things were going wrong that I thought I was going to have to push play on the speaker I brought, because most groups would not have been willing to play after all this chaos and everything that happened. Your group was always professional."

Sometimes things don't happen according to plan and that's okay, but we like to remain flexible to help calm everyone's nerves. Our musicians adapt to day of changes and remain professional along the way. It's always nice to hear from planners and vendors that we are able to make necessary changes quickly and efficiently while working well as a team.

Lexington, NC  Wedding Guest

We received a compliment one time from a wedding guest in Lexington, NC at Board and Batten. They were so surprised by the harp and violin duet that they remarked

"That harp! I had no idea a harp could sound like that."

It's always fun to be able to introduce clients to new instruments and sounds they may have never heard before.

We love receiving positive comments after making a powerful impact on listeners. Our jobs are already meaningful, but we hold on to these comments as motivation to continue pushing and improving to consistently delivered out-of-this-world performances.
