Lead Musician, guitarist
Paul is one of today's passionate avatars of new music for the guitar. He is a classical and popular guitarist, performing in ensembles, and as a guitar soloist with Deans' Duets. Over 50 works have been written for him by composers such as John Eaton, Ursula Mamlok, Charles Norman Mason, and Yehuda Yannay. In 2016, he premiered a solo work by Dorothy Hindman in the United States, at Carnegie Hall.
Paul holds B.M. and M.M. degrees from the Manhattan School of Music in New York, and a D.M.A. in contemporary performance from the University of California - San Diego.
Paul performs as a guitar soloist with Deans' Duets, as well as in our violin and guitar duets. Paul currently resides in Spartanburg, SC, and travels most frequently to performances in Highlands, NC; Charlotte, NC; and Raleigh, NC.
