Hello! We are sisters April & Megan Dean. We both started playing violin at a very young age through the Suzuki method. Our wonderful mother invested many hours practicing with us. Our love for music quickly blossomed by playing for others. People heard us play at church, symphonies and events and wanted to hire us to play for their wedding. We quickly started receiving event gigs as young teenagers, and our grandfather suggested that we call ourselves Deans' Duets!
From the beginning, we loved being a part of the wedding business. It's an honor to be part of someone's wedding day.
We began expanding our musical interests by learning piano as well. After college, we continued to play together. As brides started requesting other instruments, we began to meet new musicians and add to our team... which now includes ensembles or soloists including violin, guitar, cello, viola, piano, keyboard, trumpet, organ, bagpipes, clarinet, flute, mandolin, banjo, and anything else our clients might request!
What started out as just 2 sisters and 2 instruments has developed into something much more, and we love sharing this passion with others.
We travel throughout the southeastern United States providing solos, duos, trios, and quartets, for weddings, cocktail hours, private & corporate events, receptions, parties, church services, funerals, memorial services, fundraisers, and more.
We have locations in Charlotte, Hickory, Asheville, Greensboro, Raleigh, Greenville, SC, Columbia, SC, and Charleston, SC, in addition to destination wedding travels, which have taken us to Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida.
We are excited to see what the future holds for Deans' Duets!
