Violin Cello Duet at The Ridge Asheville

On June 22, we were at the Ridge in Asheville to play for K + J’s wedding! Paul played violin, and Mandy was on cello. As you can see, it was a perfect day! The Ridge in Marshall / Asheville is so beautiful. Look at these views!! And they’re just everywhere you look!

Being in the Asheville mountains is the perfect setting for weddings. It sets the mood for the rest of the day of a romantic and dreamy day.

These clients chose such a fun prelude!! All of the guests could enjoy many songs they were familiar with! There was something for everyone in this very diverse prelude list:

Perfect (Ed Sheeran)
Fireworks (from Harry Potter)
Tale as Old as Time (from Beauty and the Beast)
Dream by Priscilla Ahn
Who is She from Cinderella
The Flower Duet

It’s fun to play such different songs for prelude, because it keeps everyone really listening and engaged in the entire prelude.

When we played "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" for the mothers to be seated, you could tell that everyone in the crowd was fully engaged and ready for the wedding.

Game of Thrones was for the groomsmen! By the way - if you want a really fun reaction from the crowd, play this song for the guys to walk down the aisle. It’s a fantastic reaction EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Here Comes the Sun was for the bridal party.

The bride walked down the aisle to Canon in D! It is such a beautiful classic and just feels right when it is played for the bridal entrance.

Another note: Canon in D works SO nicely after everyone else has walked down the aisle to pop music. It’s a beautiful effect when this happens. It's such a contrast and brings such elegance to the bride's entrance on Canon in D.

Great recessional! Marry You by Bruno Mars which is a fun peppy song and gets everybody ready to party!

Again - this couple chose some really good music. Also - they specifically requested Devil Went Down to Georgia for the cocktail hour, which we happily played! We love when our clients request specific songs because it helps us understand the couple more and make it an even more intimate day!

Mary Bell was the wedding planner in Asheville for this wedding. Mary Bell is so great, and she is super detailed. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator in Asheville, look her up!

They also had these really creative favors for their guests where they had a theme of honeybees and gave jars of honey from this honeycomb - shaped display. #HONEYweddingfavors

Blush Asheville did the bride’s makeup! The bride was glowing the entire day.

Floressence Flowers was the florist. Unique flowers at a wedding are such a needed touch for a wedding. Floral businesses tend to have many different kinds of flowers that people have never even seen before! Perfect to add the touch of some different colors and textures to a wedding! This couple really gave creative license to their vendors, and it paid off! Vendors can do such much more when couples allow them to be a little creative and add special touches.
