Skylar & Grant's wedding in Winston Salem, NC ![]() Then the next weekend, I played violin solos at this 10am wedding in Winston Salem. This was my perch for the wedding. I love how peaceful it was. ![]() Skylar had planned everything herself, and it went perfectly! I played "Don't Stop Believing," "Here There and Everywhere," and "Don't Stop Me Now" for the prelude music on solo violin! ![]() Here Comes the Sun.... love this recessional ![]() After the ceremony, all the guests walked down the hill for a lunch reception. The violinist serenaded them down the hill and over to where the reception was waiting. Jennifer & Dennis's wedding in Charlotte, NC ![]() My Saturday evening wedding was at the Great Aunt Stella Center in Charlotte. What amazing acoustics and beautiful surroundings! ![]() What a week! Our first event was on Thursday evening at the Levine Center Center in Charlotte. April played piano solos for a fundraising event. They have a beautiful baby grand piano, so it was a fun two hours playing such a great piano. There were light hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and tours of the facility with classical piano music in the background. ![]() Then on Saturday, Madilyn and I played a Celtic wedding at the Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge in Charlotte. They used green & white for their colors, and we played Celtic fiddle music for the prelude! Then we switched to piano & violin duets for the ceremony. The Celtic theme was a great idea. ![]() On Sunday, we played this gorgeous wedding at Camp Yonahnoka at the Eseeola Lodge in Linville, NC. ![]() Madilyn set everything up and hid our cases and gear from view. ![]() We played classical violin music for the prelude, and the bride walked down the aisle to "Can't Help Falling in Love." And we get to play another wedding next weekend! Kallie & Chris were married at the gorgeous Westglow Resort & Spa in Blowing Rock, NC. ![]() Rosining my bow! ![]() Guests arrived to 30 minutes of classical violin solos. Jen at Westglow is such a great director, so everything flowed beautifully and was right on time. ![]() I played Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring for the bridal party to enter and Trumpet Voluntary for the bride. ![]() One more picture before heading home My parents were in town and came to the wedding with me! They hung out in Blowing Rock while I played. Then Mom captured some of these great pictures before & after the wedding. We snapped a few more before driving home. Congrats, Kallie & Chris!! Thanks for allowing me to be part of your wedding day
![]() Our first wedding of September and our first wedding at Crossnore Presbyterian in Newland, NC! We arrived at the church around 2:30 to set up for the ceremony. ![]() Jessica & Kristi (Events by Elizabeth Ashley) had everything organized from beginning to end. They were calm, cool, and collected all day! ![]() A storm came through while we were playing prelude music... Since the piano was electric, it stopped working! Madilyn just kept playing violin solos, and I joined back in when the piano turned on again :) Pre-ceremony music (violin & piano): ![]() Then we headed over to Camp Yonahnoka at Eseeola in Linville, NC to play classical violin duets for the cocktail hour. I love the chandelier hanging in the tree! ![]() And then..... one more hour of classical violin duets for dinner music ![]() After we finished playing, we sat outside, enjoyed amazing food, and listened to the Atlanta Showstoppers kick off the reception. What a fun day! |
