![]() I arrived to a house in Waxhaw, NC with the backyard beautifully decorated for Michelle & Steve's wedding. Michelle was getting ready upstairs, and they were so relaxed that I even got to talk to the bride for a few minutes before the ceremony began. ![]() The ceremony was short, sweet, and pretty. They had set up a buffet line for dinner, so the guests went right from the ceremony to dinner! I played 30 minutes of violin solos (Over the Rainbow, Fly Me to the Moon, Viva la Vida, Phantom of the Opera) while they had dinner. I even enjoyed some lemonade while I was playing!

![]() Madilyn and I played our first wedding at the Charlotte City Club this month! The bride, Alberta, had also hired a soprano singer, so we were excited to coordinate with another musician. We arrived early to set up and meet the Nathan at the Charlotte City Club. ![]() Altheia Anthony has an amazing voice! We performed The Prayer and The Lord's Prayer with Altheia singing, Madilyn on violin, and April on piano. Everyone was in tears when the bride entered to The Prayer. All the practice paid off - they loved it! The Charlotte City Club has two levels, and several ballrooms. Their baby grand piano is also a fantastic quality piano, so we would recommend you take advantage of the piano if you're having your wedding at the city club. It's a great option to use the piano and then add 1-4 stringed instruments with it... and maybe even a singer. ![]() We enjoyed the view from the 43rd floor before heading back down the elevator. What a fun night! ![]() We worked with Events by Elizabeth Ashley in June at the Blowing Rock Country Club. What a wedding! The couple was stunning, the guests were stunning... even the tables had gold framed place cards for each guest. There were so many intricate details. ![]() Madilyn played the violin, and I played the piano. We played classical music for the prelude and switched to some lighter music (Journey, Coldplay, etc.) for the cocktail hour. ![]() On June 12, I played for an elopement ceremony for a wonderful couple - Stan & Janie - at the Mast Farm Inn. It was the first elopement I've ever played. The only people out at this quite pond were the minister, the bride & groom, Heather (the photographer), and me. I felt so special to get to share in their day! ![]() Here's a picture Heather (Revival Photography) captured during the ceremony. |
