The ceremony was in a ballroom with this sign to welcome guests. After the ceremony we moved to the atrium and played background music there during the cocktail hour. Violin cello duets filled the space nicely without amplification since there are such great acoustics!
Thanks to the Ballantyne Hotel for hosting an amazing event and to the bride and groom for entrusting us with your wedding music.

Kris and Emily’s wedding was at the luxurious Le Meridien Hotel on the rooftop with a beautiful view of Charlotte. Emily’s color scheme was so sophisticated, with bridesmaids wearing black, and a touch of white. It was such a beautiful day. The logistics to get up there were some of the most difficult we have ever encountered, but you know us... we made it happen. This is us squeezed into an elevator with all our gear. Two elevators, a flight of stairs, and some tight hallways later, we made it to the rooftop! We played violin cello guitar keyboard quartets for the wedding ceremony. And we loved working with Crystal from Fabulously Created Events!
Getting the ballroom set up for the reception! Loved all the extra touches. What a fabulous wedding day! Thanks to the bride and groom for inviting us to play Quartets for your wedding music. Overlook Barn is one of the most popular venues in the high country of North Carolina, and we have the pleasure of playing here often. It’s always such fun to play music in the open air and beautiful spaces of the NC Mountains.
All set up and ready to go! We played violin violin cello trios for the wedding ceremony music. Paul set up his guitar and portable amp in the Cliffside Barn for cocktail hour and played all Spanish music.
![]() This weekend, there was so much flooding, and we had to detour around road closings! Thankful for dedicated musicians who persevere and figure it out!
Meris and Kelsey at The Whole Shebang were the coordinators. They're fantastic and we're always so happy to work with them!
Violin Harp duets are the perfect romantic sound for Linville weddings. Here's a clip of Amazing Grace we played while the mothers were being seated. https://youtu.be/xhD7gARSL-g Sarah and Sam were married in this gorgeous ceremony at the Duke Mansion in Charlotte, NC. The Duke Mansion in Charlotte is the ultimate destination for classic and sophisticated weddings. They only accept 25 weddings a year, so couples have to plan early! ![]() We played “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne for the recessional. Here's a short clip of our rehearsal..... https://youtu.be/nvDzmflHZiM Donna and Paul provided ceremony music as well as cocktail hour music at this Charlotte wedding. We are always careful to put away bags and cases so that we offer a clean performance site for photos. Sarah was such a beautiful bride!
We are privileged to play live wedding music in Charlotte at this gorgeous estate often. Loved working with Mandi at Social 10 events! This lovely venue is such a treat. The grounds are gorgeous, and there are plenty of space options...several choices for ceremony location, cocktail hour, and reception. Nothing has to overlap, so guests seem very at ease at this venue. The D.J. set up on this beautiful terrace to prepare for the reception. ![]() This bridal portrait was so perfectly placed amongst the backdrop of this historical home. Thank you to the nicest couple for having us to play live music for your wedding! We hope to be back to play for more Columbia weddings at the Lace House soon! Everything about Sarah and Adam's wedding was stunning. The mountain setting was epic! The backdrop for weddings at Lonesome Valley are jaw dropping. We played violin and guitar music for the ceremony and provided a microphone for the rabbi, so there was a bit more equipment than usual. We are always careful to put our cases and bags somewhere out of sight when playing music for the wedding ceremony, so that the performance area looks clean, but when it's threatening rain, we make an exception and keep them nearby. About halfway through the ceremony, it started raining, so the guests came under the awning with us musicians to wait until the rain stopped. Asheville Event Company did a great job of making decisions and communicating with guests in the midst of the rain. It's nice that we were able to move to this little covered porch when the rain started. Once it cleared, the guests went back to their seats to resume the ceremony.
Congrats to Sarah and Adam! Loved playing wedding music in Western North Carolina! Saturday was the perfect day for a wedding! Beautiful weather in the high 70s, a gorgeous location. April and Meredith played violin and cello duets for Kiley and Tyler's wedding at Larkin's on the River in Greenville, SC. ![]() Deans Duets is gaining a reputation for how early we arrive to our events. We don't like the stress of being late, so we arrive really early! This wedding is a perfect example of why we do that...There was no parking at the venue, and there were festivals going on downtown, so we had to find parking and then walk through downtown to get to the venue. With all of that, we still arrived 45 minutes before we began playing, and had plenty of time for our instruments to transition from the heat outside to the air-conditioning inside, and to get in a nice warm up before we started.
After all that walking and playing, I treated myself to a lovely dinner outside before hitting the road back to Charlotte! |
